Section 269st on rent on commercial shops- applicability

whether section 269ST applies to monthly rent of rs 20,000/- on shop Dear Sir, Facts as below: lease agreement for commercial shop for eleven months. rent payable each month rs 20,000+st+cess( i.e. 20000+2800+100+100=23000/- p.m.) 1.Whether rent can be collected from tenant each month in cash? 2.whether section 269ST applicable? 2.Whether section 269ST applies to service tax and cess collected? thanks and regards prasad
