i have recieved a intimation from CPC under section 245 of income tax act 1961 stating that the refund determined in AY 2012-13 is being adjusted against outstanding demands for AY 2010 under section 1431a as the demand raised is quite high as compared to refund kindly help

YA dept has that right to adjust ur past demand of paying tax against ur current refund only if u havent recieved your assessment order and refund and you havent yet paid ur dues for 2010.
