secondments??? a better option

 its not the matter whether the old firm or new firm.

you can take secondment at any point of time during the your article tenure. I think you know what secondment actually is.

if you really feel that you don't find any future in your firm then straightaway take termination as you are in second year of your articles and 

if you want to continue with the auditor you are with then go for secondment. but as per me i think you need the permission of the existing principal (auditor).

but be careful before joining in the new one
