Can we purchase new residential property in any others name to get the benefit of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana

PMAY benefit is available only to its applicant.
For sec 54 exemption the new house property should be in the name of assesses singularly or jointly.
Can we claim 54 EC for sale of residential house ??
