No you can use any book of last year of your seniors. Buy in Jan 2011. There wont be much amendments except tax slab and minor issues. If you want to start right now than its ok or can start from July. 50% is the same of PE2/PCC...
SO daily study around 15 pages approx. In time you will be able to complete it.....
Direct tax is a subject of self study only..... SO chill and dont worry you are not the one for self study...
