Increase in Advamce limits of PSU Bank branches to be audited 2012-2013

ca news by   c.a. c.v pawar

Past president  Mr Amarjit Chopra informed that   list of  various firms  to be allotted  statutory branch audit has been forwarded by  RBI to banks with thershold limit as 20 crores ---  Number of Branch audit to come down drastically

C A  C.V pawar had also talked to couple of council members who confirmed this - The news was known to them 20 days before , it is said ---  However we  became aware of this only because of the communication by CA Amarjit Chora

It is also said that the council members re trying to reduce the limit as it was done last year - How ever time is too much late and there are less possibilities of change or reversl of decision

Don't worry Mr. Hareesh.  Any thing may happen during the last week of March 13 as in the last year.  Hope for the best.

THANK  YOU   Mr.S. NARAYANAN

PL KEEP EVERY UPDATED

HAREESH

Hai

As i know RBI has decided to go with Limit of Rs 6.00 crore

Due to increase in advances limit to Rs. 20 crores, only existing branch auditors are likely to be retained and no new branch auditors to be included in the panel since there is going to be substantial reduction in number of branches to be covered under audit.

banks have started analying the ratio of auditors and no. of branches to be audited, as per my knowledge.

Thank you veerendra

Keep every one updated

whether any official information comes from our Institute and from RBI regarding increase in advance limit to 20 crores

This is the copy of appeal filed by the BJP cell to FM in respect of reducing the thrash hold limit of 20 crores.  We can hope for the best.

Thank you sathianarayanan     --    Keep every one updated

Audit  by CA  is an effective deterent against frauds and malpractices - None can undermine  it  .Our revenue is secondary  -

c.a Hareesh Kumar

thanks CAsathianarayanan.t
for tha attached letter for SBA. Let us watch the developments and care of Govt towards PSBs

From reliable sources it is learnt that SBI has started the process of allotment of branches with the thresh hold limit of 20 cr. advances and there is no problem for the conitnuing auditors.  The allotment of branches  will be communicated in the first or second week of March.  No doubt that this is the dark year for our profession unless any thing done by our institute.

Yes  Mr Satyanarayanan ---   Continuing Auditors would be allotted less no of branches , as such there would be reduction  in revenues  unles it is compensated by the incresed  level of  advances

Yes there is darkness  --   For new entrants into the profession this would have been their bread and butter - What we can do

My intution is that the delay in sending offer letter by banks  could well be suggestive of a favorable out come as in  the last year ---

Each and every member  of the institute  has an obligation to protect the interest of  our profession  and if we all collectively decide something in this regard    will it stand beyond the Compettion regime prevailing in this country ?

Keep us updated

May I now bring to the notice of every one that     I  have received a mail ( 26/02/2013) from Canara Bank  seeking confirmation of the Firm's particulars ( was in the panel since 2 years )

No idea regarding the threshold limit  ---

Congrats Mr. Hareesh.  In my view, our CA members failed to use their ballots wisely at the time of council elections.  The problems in bank auditing is due to selfish attitude of the council members and they did not bother about the welfare of the CA fertanity.  In fact I did not vote to the existing council members for both region and central councils.  If all the members followed the same, the coucils would be with new entrants and hope they would have worked better than the out going members.  But, it is our fate and no body can change it for next three years.  The new councils are with old members only.  What you can expect from them?  They all are working for their self development and not for the profession's development.  In the case of elections, both illitrates and litrates are same by electing the wrong people.
