SAP FI and Indirect Taxation

I am 30 , CA and have have post qualification experience of 5 years in Vat tax and Service Tax.... However I wish to change to SAP FI as career..... my query is whether experience in Taxation matters will have any added advantage ? the basics as i understand from various websites is that after SAP FI certification I will be as good as fresher and accordingly salary will eb low and time required for further progress will be high etc etc......still i request you to share your views / experience and if you can suggest a specific SAP area where my experience will count or the kind of job profile i can look for.... .

SAP - CIN (INCLUDES INDIAN TAXATION)- INSTED OF UR QUALIFICATION , VERY GOOD EXPERIANCE & KNOWLEDGE IN INDIRECT TAX , VAT&CST IS NEEDED TO BECOME A GOOD SAP - CIN CONSULTANT-

AVG SALARY FOR A GOOD CIN CONSULTANT IS 5-10 LAKH P.A

IT IS NOT A PART OF FI MODULE , BUT HAVE GOOD CONNECTION WITH FI , ESPECIALLY IMPLIMENTATION SETTINGS IN AR&AP - NOT WIDE BUT EXPERIANCE IN INDIRECT TAXATION IS IMPORTANT.
