Is assessment under sales tax compulsory. As there is only 3-5% assessee who falls under income tax assessment, but i have heard that in sales tax there is 100% assessment.

not 100% it is depend on circular which provided by department
Guys, do you beleive 100% assessment is possible. I am new to sales tax and have a feeling that the deppartment is way to old in its approach.
I mean for each inter state transaction(quarterly), the buyer has to collect C form from the deppartment and the seller has to deposit the same to his concerned ward. Cant we do with online system.
Discussion will be appreciated.
