Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies which Income Tax Return (ITR) form is appropriate when you've redeemed Systematic Investment Plans (SIPs) and also have salary income. It suggests ITR 2 is likely the correct choice, with details needing to be shown in Schedule CG and Schedule 112A. The conversation also touches upon the taxability of capital gains from SIP sales, noting that Long Term Capital Gains (LTCG) up to £1 lakh are typically exempt from tax.
