Salary Returned to Employer (Can I claim Refund of TDS)

972 views 1 replies

Dear Sir

A company that I will be employed in is paying me a sign-on bonus on which TDS will be deducted. This sign-on bonus comes with a clause that in case I leave the company, I will have to return the sign -on bonus. My query is that if I leave the company in the next financial year, will I be able to claim refund next year of the TDS deducted in this finacial year? (there ino element of loan or interest involved - this is a genuine bonus being paid to me)

Thank you very much.

Get form 16 from your employer without adding bonus part in income and then file your return on income & claim refund
