Hi Jaganathan, Kindly verify your salary from the Form 16 issued by the employer, in case the salary is matching from their, go ahead and file your return without hesitataion as Income Tax dept. Issues credit on the basis of Form 26AS as well as Form 16. In case in future you receive any intimation you can present the Forms to the officer in chrge. For any other query/ clarification PM/ mail us. Anubhav Jain anubhavjain176 @ gmail.com

Mr. Jaganathan

Kindly make sure that you are taking the figure of Gross salary (excluding exempt allowances and with PT deduction) from Form 16. Further, confirm with employer showing them your 26AS status. Although 26As is a legitimate document to show income and TDS, ITR form gives weightage to form 16 as 26AS may change in future due to revised TDS returns.

If your salary has in fact been 6,00,000/- for the year, than show the same and ask your employer to issue a correct form 16 while taking 6L as income in the return.
