Salary annual return form24 - no tds deducted

TDS 996 views 3 replies

In salary annual return form-24 , it was not mandatory till last year to give details of those

employees where NO TDS is deducted by employer because either thier gross salary is less

than taxable limit or Net salary ( after 80-c proofs ) is below taxable limit.

Is there any change in this rule in current year.

I think those employees whose GROSS SALARY is more than taxable limit ( even if net salary is below taxable ) , of those employees - details are mandatory now.

Really dont know whether for Employees to whom TDS not applicable details to be filed in Annexure II but generally we file only for employees to whom tds has been deducted better check up with NSDL Intermediary  and there is time to compile those datas since THE TDS Worksheet for all employees would be generated from your payroll package

Thanks for reply.

NSDL will not help anything in this matter. I have tried in past.

They are just intermidiary & they say we ask rules / regulations to i.tax not nsdl.

as per My knowledge,

whose gross salary cross the taxable limite before Chapetr VIA deduction (u/s 80C) has to file.

& all of them whose tax is deducted in the FY.

for those whose gross salary does not exceed tax income before deduction pls issue the form-16 Part-B (Sal Detail).along with others.
