Climate change is the gravest global challenge we face today. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), in its fourth assessment report, has declared that countries have only seven years to combat climate change, before its effects creep into our environment. Your participation can help raise a voice to millions across the world to fight this issue.
The Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) will donate a sapling to each participate to make our city green. Hence, the more the number of participants, the greener Mumbai will be.
Another initiative is the plantation of saplings by MCGM along the run area.
During the course of the Run, participants will get a deep insight into day to day solutions to combat climate change through videos, banners/announcements etc.
On a lighter note, it will give participants an exclusive opportunity to run with leading celebrities, corporate houses and NGO’s. It will reflect that the Planet Alert Go Green Run is not about winning, it is about uniting for a better future.
