my gst no has cancelled due to non filing of returns in the month of June 2021.
now when I am going to file a revocation application
portal is showing. to file the pending returns before revocation application.
while the official s are saying to file revocation application first.
please guide me

New GST registration has been rejected stating another GSTIN number linked to PAN has been cancelled su-moto . Apply for restoration of GSTIN.
While trying to apply for restoration, portal says application for revocation of cancellation cannot be done as its more than 500 days.
officer is just adamant and says to restore gstin.

Are all the returns of the previous registration filed?
The returns are filed upto Nov 2019. Gst cancelled w.e.f 01.12.19 suo moto
See of it's showing December return to be filed. File it and then apply for new registration.
Restoration of old gstin is not possible.
There is also a Kerala HC ruling where they denied restoring the old gstin when more days had passed as allowed for appeals.
