Hi Friends, I'm doing self preparation... and i have this doubt... in the requirements for IPCC (both the groups ) nov 2012, ICAI has prescribed that balance sheet and profit and loss accounts should be prepared according to revised schedule VI...To what extent should IPCC students be aware of revised schedule VI from the examination point of view? in what all areas will it have impact...? will it affect only the topic of company accoutns or will it affect amalgamation topic and other problems where we are asked to prepare final accounts of a company also...? or is it enough if we prepare the final accounts according to revised schedule VI only when asked to do so? Padhuka's have come up with a handbook for The Revised Sch VI, yes, all the sums involving Preparation of P/L and Balance Sheet will have to be done in the new format, including amalgamation. When you prepare P/L or B/S for any COMPANY, be it any chapter, it has to be SCH VI REVISED

I think for problems, you should refer to the institue material, like the revised modules and the practice manual
