I consult for a large company and am wondering if they can take care of the service tax payments as I want to avoid the hassles of ST payments .. can this be done by mutual agreement??

your query is not clear..
normally the service provider collects the ST and pays to govt and files ST returns. Since ST is an indirect tax,considering the paperwork to be maintained if the consultant is an induvidual ,my query is can the receiver of this technical/professional consultancy pay the ST ..The govt gets its due .anyway ...if the burden of paying and maintaining the records is with a large company then does it not make life easier for the induvidual consultants?? why does the govt not think of this?
