We have a a client who filed his return for the year 2006-07 and the returns are left over unfiled, so we are filing only for the years 2009-10 and 2008-09 F.Y. so for how many past years can we file the return and if we dont file it for the 2 years prior to 2007-08 what is the option open to u
you can file return for F.Y 2008-09 before 31st march, 2011
For F.Y 2009-10 before 31st march, 2012
for the F.Y before 2008-09 there is no option you can't file ur return
if your client have income less than exemption limit ,
then u can give them certificate, that their income was belove exemption limit bcoz of this they was not file their return.
