Return for ay 2016-17 filed yesterday** print out "invalid'

you can do two things:

1. file it again as original return (If earlier return would be valid than system would not allow to file original return again)

2. try to discuss with customer care.

Is there any legal rule for such invalid return.

If so why is the dept. sending reminders to file for 2016-17 AY not enabling to e-verify ...
