Mr. Suyash, if your total income is under the exemption limit of relevant Financial year then there is no obligation of payment of interest on part of late return filing
In corporate accounting , amalgamation in the nature of merger & purchase . As per accounting standard 14.. liquidator expenses & debentures are not included in purchase consideration in recent updates

No compulsory need to file ITR. However u are allowed to file nil return for your own purpose.
You would be liable to penalty of Rs 5000/- u/s 271F . Weather you have taxable income or not !
Suyash U can File return upto 31 March 2016 and if your income is less than exemption limit, then no Interest u/s 234A is charged
