I have not filed ITR for 2016-17 FY
since tax had been paid before due date (i.e 31/03/2018)
I want to know the cases possibilities of return filing.

No filing is possible now.
Due date was till 31/03/2018 for delayed returns.
You may contact Income Tax Department
Provisions have been changed so no use of contacting even Income Tax Department.
