Please let me know the pros and cons of retraction of surrender madeduring the search or survey operation. Please also tell when to retract. Any case laws besides Vinod Solanki's case in Supreme Court.

Retraction of surrender made during search

Retractions should be within earliest possible time after search. However there is no specific time period for the same.
The best way to retract is to file affidavit to department mentioning reasons of retractions in detail.
