Abraham and Indian citizen left India on 20th May 2016. He was in UK up to 3rd December 2016 when returned to India. Again he went to Japan on 10th July 2017 and came back on 25th Nov 2017. On 1st Jan 2018 he went to Holland and returned on 25th October 2019. Find out his residential status for the previous years 2018-19 and 2019-20.

  • FY 2018-19: Non-Resident, as he did not stay in India at all.

  • FY 2019-20: Resident, assuming he meets the 365-day aggregate in the preceding four financial years (2015-16 to 2018-19). If the aggregate is less than 365 days, he is a Non-Resident.
