Requesting help for taxation

Tax planning 180 views 4 replies

I am changing my job and joining a company as a consultant. I will be earning 30 lakhs per annum in Maharashtra. Which route should i opt for, being a permanent employee and paying normal tax - or shall i come under PRESUMTIVE TAXATION. Will i be able to save more tax by coming under Presumptive ? Would appreciate if you can show me the taxation difference until 80 C under both normal as well as presumptive. Will the company need to deduct any GST/Service Tax before transferring the salary to me.

44ADA will be useful to save tax,

even if GST registration is required it will be charged over and above salary amount, and will be availbale as input to the company

presumptive taxation scheme u/s 44 ADA applicable to the specific profession
- legal
- medical
- engineering
- architectural
- accountancy
- technical consultancy
- interior decorations
- film artist
- information technology
- company secretary
-and certain spots related person

if you are engaged in above type of profession
and getting PROFESSIONAL FEE & TDS IS DEDUCTED U/S 194J then presumptive taxation scheme is applicable

if you are getting salary and TDS is deducted u/s 192 then, you are NOT ELIGIBLE FOR PRESUMPTIVE TAXATION

#for further information please reply
as you are joining as consultant you'll be covered under prrsumptive taxation if you are covered under the categories as mentioned above. it will always be beneficial as only 50% of your income will be taxed with no further benefit. pls note it is appl. only when your gross receipts does not exceed rs 50lakhs

My client won't pay me anyting extra above 30 lakhs, so if i decide to go for Presumtive Taxation then it would be Inclusive in the 30 lakhs. So based on this discussion here. 5 lakhs 40k would be deducted as GST so my inhand salary would be 24 lakhs 60k.

So assuming 12 lakhs 30k is what will be used in the TAX SLABS. So further whatever is the 80c and other tax slabs, i would incurr some tax which can be claimed as Input Credit.

So finally  24600000 would be my annual salary.
