There are Some 4-5 Members Who are Continuosly Posting Scrap....

& Making Spam of This facility....

Earlier There was Private message, One Can send it to All, That Stopped by Admin , After That People Started Posting on profile Page...

in my profile message Page, Only Links n Links are posted...No Any Such Queries or Comments You can See....

Dear Posters, Pls Dont Mind, Only Stoping Scrap on My Profile will not work, you should take care of others also.

This trend was started atleast a year and a half back when there was race between members for getting the Ipod. Many controversies and manipulations took place during that period. Since the Ipod has been removed as a reward, spamming has gone down but not enough. Thank you for raising this issue.

There is also an option to change the privacy settings in the profile settings section. We can activate the option, "Allow Only Friends To Scrap You". Atleast we can get some respite from spam from non-friend members!

One more thing I would like to request to all the members of the CCI for not posting the same answer again and again if a particular query has been resolved. If someone has a different opinion / view / interpretation then post the same, but please don’t quote the same answer which has already been posted by someone else. It unnecessarily stretches the thread and does not add any value.

Deepak I know The option, But Scraps Only I am Getting from Friends Only...

I seen in some profile that they removed complete friend list and no friends i there in list...

As regards scrapping spams, I know that our beloved member Sanyam Arora is one of them. I hope that he reads this post.

Regarding your reference to those members who deleted their existing friends to avoid irritating spams, you are correct as members like Veeral Gandhi have deleted their 'spamster' friends from the friends list. I think that the deletion from friends list was more due to his reclusive and space seeking attitude than irritation due to spamming scraps.

Randhir, I don't know what made you say so. There is whole lot of difference between Mr. Gandhi and me. Like you, even I don't agree with deleting anybody from friend's list. Only a loner like Mr. Gandhi would do so. Agreed that he is knowledgeable. For this reason, I have been trying to become his friend but with no success. Now, I don't even care to become his friend. What I am only against is sending of spam comments.
