Today no. Of CAs and CA students is increasing fast leading to job crisis for CAs. Don't you think ICAI should withdraw the CPT concept and bring the rule of ca after b.com that too with minimum percentage requirement of 55 or 60%.
Himanshu, there is an option now also that u can directly give IPCC xam after passing B.com, so there is no question of withdrawing CPT rather it can be made tough.

Padmavati ji, if they are capable enough then why can't they score 60 percent in b.com? Yes making cpt tougher is also a good option to control the rush in ca.
PE-I system should be back in the form of CPT with requirement of increase in passing % marks in individual subjects but not in aggregate. The fulfillment of criteria for each individual subject must further give exemption benefit.

There was a time when the passing perceng was just around 4 percent. But now it has turned to double digit. Mr. Kumar mangalam birla have once mentioned the same issue in a article that he is not happy with the double digit result.
