Is it mandatory to report the salary in TDS return even if gross income of an employee is below taxable limit?

Thanks in advance.

Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies the requirement for reporting salary in TDS returns when an employee's gross income falls below the taxable limit. It's generally not mandatory if the income isn't subject to TDS. However, reporting it can be beneficial if you intend to issue a Form 16 for that employee.

Its not mandatory if gross income is below taxable limit. But it is good if you want to issue form 16 for that employee.
