I am a salary indvidual & also Karta of HUF. The family home which I was staying belongs to HUF. I want to know if I can pay rent to HUF and claim tax benefit for the same. We are a nuclure family, with no other sibling.

I think u shud not claim Rent because assesse and his HUF any one have any house property in city[where he working] than he can not claim Rent.

yes, u cn pay rent nd cn claim tax benefit 4 d same u\s 80GG since HUF itself is a seperate entity.
Shailendra is right. But still u have to pay tax on House propery income.
