what the limit for rent paid deduction in ITR 1 ( salary person) ??
A.Y.2019-20.

1) Actual HRA received
2) Rent paid over and above 10%of pay (Pay + DA)
3) 40% of (Pay + DA)
whichever is less can be claimed as HRA exemption.

sir HRA, DA kuch received nhi hua.
is case me kya krna hoga ?

The deduction is limited to:

1. Rent paid (-) 10% of total income
2. 5,000 p.m.
3. 25% of total income

Total income is net total income after deductions before this rent deduction above.
