Relief u/s 89

A person received severance pay but it is not reflected in form 16 is he eligible to get relief u/s89. pls clarify.

No. No relief is available now, it is assessed u/h. IFOS.

sir thanks for your response, but then what Rule 21a(c) talks about. please clarify

Technically, the severance payment is not considered as Salary, while the rule is for income under salary head.

it states if a person serves more than 3 years & terminated from company - then what are the income should be considered under this please clarify. Thanks
sir, how should we treat it, whether capital receipt or relief or it is entirely taxable please advise. Thank you.
