Friends I have not filled the ITR for the last assessment year . Now I have received the arrears for that year.I want to ask for relief u/s 89/1 by filling my ITR with FORM 10E during the current year. Have I to file last years return first. Pleased guide.

Only file ITR for AY 2019-20 with arrears claim of earlier year/s.
Last years ITR is not required to be filed, You have to file ITR of fy 2018-19 and form 10E to claim relief under section 89.
