If a person get himself registered in GST portal 3 years earlier, and does not file a single gst report till now, now a notice has been sent by tax authorities asking him to pay panelty of upto 1 lakh rupees.
Now for relief in panelty what can he do in this case..?

Govt declared an Amnesty schedule for this purpose unde gst.

What about the business?
If no business did, No chance for Penalty.
It may be the late filing fees.
It's have been file with minimum fees up to 30th August 2021.
Better you approach the concerned GST office.

If any data's available before the assessing officer against u ,beside u not filed any request for cancellation of registration till date.
This is not my case,
It is one of my friend case, and he did not do any kind of business till now.
And ealier in 2019 he also requested for cancellation of Registration..And yes its late filling fees, which is I think more than 2 lakh rupees..
Now I think amnesty schedule is applicable to him.

Paid late fee -cannot be reimbursed.
It is pending late fees, not paid amount..
Then, relief is eligible.
Late fees may be relieved by amnesty scheme
