If there is deviation between previous quarter unaudited result publised and audited result for the year end with respect to previous quarter what should auditor and company do?

In the notes of disclosure of SEBI a paragraph is written "Previous period's figures have been reclassified/regrouped/restated, wherever necessary" The above said paragraph is justified to the statutory auditors, however, the it is the responsibility of auditee to explain and justified the reason of such restatement of figures.
