Regarding PTRC & PTEC registration

A person is Director in a private limited company and at the same time is also the Proprietor in his proprietorship firm. (NOTE: The pvt ltd company is registered with PTEC and PTRC and paying the same for itself and its directors and employees).

1) Does such a person need to obtain separate PTRC or PTEC registration for proprietorship firm, when the pvt ltd company is already paying PT on his behalf?

2) If yes, then which should be obtained PTRC or PTEC

Thanks

Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies PTRC and PTEC registration requirements for individuals who are both a director in a private limited company and a proprietor of a firm. It addresses whether separate registrations are needed when the company already covers PT for its directors and employees. The advice given is that separate registrations are indeed necessary. The choice between PTRC and PTEC depends on the number of employees in the proprietorship firm and whether PT is applicable to employee salaries.

1. Yes.

2. If employees in proprietorship firm are more than the limit specified under act, go for both, otherwise only PTEC..

PTEC is mandatory for every employer.

PTRC is required only if the PT is applicable on employees salary
IN case of company what should be the month of commencement of business in PTEC form
