n my view he/she cant claim exemption bcz he/she was absent from group 1, paper 5.

For claiming exemption one has to present in all the papers of the same group,

If someone remains absent in three exams and scores 60 in one subject then also he will get exemption,

But the exemption will expire after 3 attempts.
