Dear Sir,

I had received AIMS letter from income tax with subject Non filing for income tax return - reg

1.The Income Tax Department has received information on financial transactions/activities relating to you. A list of some of the information for Financial Year 2014-15 is provided below. As per records, you do not appear to have filed Income Tax Returns for Assessment Year(s) 2015-16.

S No     Fin Year    Information Code    Information Descripttion

1            2014-15       AIR-002                Paid Rs. 2,00,000 or more against Credit Card bills

2            2014-15      TDS-192A               TDS Return - Salary to Employees (Section 192A)

And on the same day i received intimation of income tax filing and received return for the same with intimation U/S 143(1).

Should i respond for the letter or it will be fine to skip the aims letter as i received tax confirmation letter.

Dear Sarath.,
I think you get notice for NMS 14-15. So, You ll be file your ITR return above said period...

But, You can't say why you get notice and which year's return. I think 143 notice is not on 14-15.....
you have to file your ROI for a.y. 2015-16 and you need to prove the source for the credit card payments made by you during the f.y. 2014-15. the intimation under 143(1) might be pertains to some other a.y. even it's for a.y. 2015-16, it's advisable to submit the copy of acknowledgement or the intimation along with the copy of requisite documents proving the source for the credit card payments to avoid prosecution charges.
