Why is that there is a delay in getting refunds this year .does anyone know the reason ?

Yes. Also it's later for refund. This Filing year may get some difficults like Aadhaar link, Demonetising also (GST)...

IT refund for ITR -1 filed on 16/07/2017 was assesed on 4/10/2017. Refund will come in bank within week i suppose. Refund is less than 5k though.
Not necessary all ITR-1 filers of 16/07/2017 wll get refund on same date.
