Refund claim for house loan not in form 16

Dear Friends,

I am planning to file SAHAJ by efiling. I need clarification for the folowing.

As per Form 16 my TDS is76218 without the benefit of repayment of House loan from LICHFL

Considering principal & interest of house loan my Tax is56283 So my refund is Rs19940 (rounded) or19935. My xml file is prepared with tax of 56283 with refund of Rs19940

After uploading xml file without signature ITR V will be obtained and this has to be sent to CPC Blore.

My doubt is whether I must enclose Form 16 and certificate from LICHFL for repayment of house loan in original alongwith signed copy of ITR V for sending it to CPC Bangalore so that I may get refund within one month.

Expecting some clarification from experts.

no attachment required to be sent with ITR V

if any clarification needed by ITO then they will ask you specifically through your mail

Accept my regards. with reference to your above question i do hereby clear that you have to send photocopy & not the original certificate of LICHFL for the relevant year for which you had taken loan. in certain circumstances you may not get the deduction as per the act, so be clear on that term and take the advice of your CA. As far as sending form 16 is concerned, it is just for other purposes & not for claiming refund. the data is already with the taxation authorities regarding your tax status. just send your certificate of LICHFL after consulting your CA regarding your terms of loan like when did you obtain loan, interest payment is for which period & the amount you are paying etc.
