Reference Books for CWA Inter

Hi,


I joined this forum recently. I have been working with an IT Major since last 5 years.

I intend to take up both the groups of CWA Inter in Jun 2011 and am doing Postal Coaching for the same. Is it worthwhile for working professionals to take up both the groups together?

Is the Institute material good enough? Also, can one point to some good reference books for the subjects in these 2 groups:

1. Financial Accounting

2. Commercial and Industrial Laws & Auditing

3. Applied Direct Taxation

4. Management Accounting

5. Operations Management and Information Systems

6. Indirect Taxation

In my view if you are on full time job it is better to appear for one group at a time.

Nice for a change to see everyone emphasizing on the study materials and Past papers. Study materials  must be the basis.

 

Always back up your study materials with a (one) standard text book. Refer only to those authors recommended in the prospectus. In CMA exam learn to expect the unexpected.
