Redemption process of Mutual Fund Units held in Demat form in DP.

Dear sir,

I have a Demat Account with Bank of India Shareholdings Ltd in which I have many company's shares and Mutual Fund Units in Demat form. Recently I submitted redemption form for SBI and HDFC Mf schemes, for which, I got the proceeds credited to y linked account. But Taurus MF units are still pending redemption. DP BOISL says it is not within their scope to redeem it, which is absurd. AMC or MF house has nothing to do with demat form MF redemption requests, as the DP has possession of the said units. The same DP did not say so when they redeemed SBI and HDFC MF units. Please help what I should do. I have already raised ticket for the same with NSDL against the DP.   • Verify Demat Status of Taurus MF Units
      • Check your NSDL statement or BOISL account to confirm Taurus MF units are indeed in demat form.
      • If they’re in physical/SoA form, you’ll need to submit a Conversion Request Form (CRF) to BOISL.
    1. Request Written Clarification from BOISL
      • Ask BOISL to provide a written explanation of why Taurus MF redemption is “not within their scope.”
      • Mention that they processed SBI and HDFC MF redemptions without issue.
    2. Escalate to NSDL with Specifics
      • Since you’ve already raised a ticket, follow up with:
      • Your Demat account number
      • ISIN of Taurus MF units
      • Copy of redemption request
      • BOISL’s response
    3. Contact Taurus Mutual Fund Directly
      • Though AMCs don’t handle demat redemptions, Taurus MF may clarify if there’s a known issue with BOISL or NSDL.
      • You can reach them via Taurus MF contact page.
    4. File SEBI SCORES Complaint if Needed
    • If BOISL and NSDL don’t resolve it, escalate via SEBI SCORES.
    • Choose “Depository Participant” as the complaint category.

Thanks for yourprompt nd detailed reply. I had almost followed all the steps given by you, except raise a ticket at SWBI. But surprisingly, yesterday, got an Email message from CAMS, that the redemption has been successful and money will be credited to my account shortly.

I thank you from my heart for being there for me, to help with a thorough answer.
