My relative has received order u/s 143(1) but the TDS has been shown less credit and hence demand for about 800 has been raised. The form ITR 3 has been filled correctly, the TDS as claimed is as per certificates received and claim figure also matches with form AS26. The CPC has computed about 800 less in order without assigning any reason.
If I submit rectification, in the xml file to be generated there is not going to be any change or mistake from my end and I have checked with the list of common errors.
What to do.

You can go with section 154 for rectification.

Hey bro,
The mistake which is happened in the initmation though it is not your mistake, still you need to upload the revised XML (which would be the same one in your case) and while submiting, the website asks you three option. You need to select the middle one(I m not sure about the option, but i m sure that it means mistake of CPC,,..... it would be mistake of Processing) and you may check for the rectification after 7 days

I have done exactly similar to what you have advised. But 15 days have passed and no reply or correction has come. A demand for abour 800 stands. If I deposit the same, after correction it will again become refundable. So I am in a fix and waiting.

For filing rectification of return or filing revised return, the original return is required. If after all efforts, the original return is not traceable, what procedure should be adopted for seeking original return?

Return of income was e-filed claiming refund of Rs. 170000. Return has been processed and an intimation received. But refund has not been received. The efiling website is also not showing processing status and refund status. What course of action should be suggested?

CHECK FORM 26 AS WITH ITR FILED AND 143 1 ORDER RECEIVED IF THERE IS DEMAND BOTH CALCULATIONS AND WHAT MISTAKE YOU DONE IS SUGGESTED. READ ORDER PROPERLY.

FOR RECTIFICATION YOU CAN DO OFFLINE MODE
Selection of appropriate reasons while submission of rectification request is mandatory for the correct processing of the request by the Department. Please re-enter all the entries in the schedules. All the corrected entries as well as the remaining entries mentioned in the ITR filed earlier are to be entered. Make the necessary corrections in the data. While doing corrections, make sure not to declare any new source of Income or declare additional deductions.
I ALSO TRIED BUT IT IS SHOWING INTEREST AND PENALTY, BUT IF YOUR LAST FILLING IS ALREADY REVISED IT WILL NOT CALCULATE INTEREST AND PENALTY, MORE THIS IS OFFLINE Return Data Correction, NO NEW INCOME OR DEDUCTION YOU HAVE TO CHANGE. YOU HAVE TO SUBMIT UNDER THE SAME SECTION IN THE LAST ITR SUBMITTED AS PER 143 1 WHAT I FEEL THEY WILL JUST CORRECT DATA THE REASON YOU WRITTEN IN COMMENTS, MORE THIS CORRECTION IS UNDER 154 YOU WILL SEE ON TOP WHEN CHOOSE YEAR AND SUBMIT, NATURALLY THEY WILL ISSUE NEW ORDER WHICH WILL BE BASED ON OLD ORDER.
