Hello Expert,

Please help me record in Tally for the half yearly investment in Atal Pension Yojna. Under what should i create the Ledger APY. And what exactly will be the entry.

If it is proprietorship and it is paid for proprietor then entry will be

APY Investment A/c Dr

Bank

It is half yearly payment as per your query. So it not receipt.
.
Previous member entry is wrong.

It's not maturity amount. But half yearly payment?

I mean it's payment and not receipt

Yes as Amount received from bank, so bank is debited. It's a very basic rule, that what comes in debited

It's amount paid from Bank .

Bank balance should reduce and but your accounting can increase the bank balance and finally bank balance won't match
