Rebate with respect to Pre-EMI for housing loan

I took a housing loan against for a flat and took its possession in September 2020 under the subvention plan and started paying the interest component only (Pre-EMI) till February, 2021 and started the EMI thereafter. Can I get the benefit for  ITR filing with respect to the interest paid as PRE-EMI for my housing loan after getting possession?

Yes. Pre EMI should be taken as deduction in equal terms by dividing the entire Pre EMI interest by 5, for next 5 years.
