RCM OF Freight

We sale goods on trading, We send goods on FOR basis and we charge GST On freight same rate as goods, so my question is we require to pay RCM on freight on which we collect gst @ 18% and paid to department.

we have 2 data
1. freight on which we collect 18% gst
2. freight on which only exp has booked
no gst collect from buyer

on which we require to pay rcm

if we not pay rcm on 1 point then any case law available for remedy

Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies the applicability of Reverse Charge Mechanism (RCM) on freight charges when goods are sold on a FOR (Free On Rail/Road) basis. The core question revolves around whether RCM is payable on freight where GST is already collected and paid to the department, versus freight where no GST is collected from the buyer. It highlights that if GST is already accounted for on the freight, RCM should not apply again. However, for freight expenses where GST wasn't collected, RCM is likely applicable.

Point 1 : When you are paying the government by taxing it in the invoice, then why will you apply rcm on the same amount again?

Point 2: You have to RCM on this
We have booked 60000 as freight exp and same amount charge in sale bill , so we require to pay rcm in gst
