Hi Friends,

I am manufacturer of mehandi products

I bring raw mehandi and by adding few chemicals and other manufacture many types of mehandi products such as mehandi cone, herbal mehandi, heena products etc.

01. Please update me what is rate of excise duty for these manufacturing?

02. I am also giving MRP on all the products. If it is covered under weights and measurement act what is the abatement on it?

Please help me.. Its very urgent

a. In the absence of MRP valuation under Section 4A of the Central Excise Act, the rate applicable would be 12.36% (as per latest budget) on the transaction value.

b. In case the said goods are covered under MRP valuation, the abatement rates have to be checked. Use the following link

This products will be used in the hair dyes preparations for use on the hair. It will be falling under chapter heading 33059040 and excise duty will be 12.36 and 35% abatement on MRP based valuation.
