Query : Notice has been served by the TDB asking for the challan of the paymeny of RD cess. Cess has not being paid yet. Is it possible to remit it now as per the normal procedure or is there any compliances to be followed on the failure to remit the same within the prescribed time limit. ???

As far as i know, R&D Cess has to be paid before remittance of royalty amount.
In case the same has not been paid, the bank would not have allowed the remittance of royalty.
You should deposit the same ASAP and in case any penalty is payable, the TDB officials would help you.
