For the purpose of quorum joint holders are counted as 1 or every joint holder attending the meeting in each capacity?

As per section 103 of the Companies Act, 2013 - Joint Holders shall be considered as one while computing the quorum for the General Meeting.

As per Sec 103

For private co- 2members personally present

For public co-

5members(if Members of company upto 1000)
15members(if Members of company 1001-5000)
30members(if Members of company Above 5000)
As per Secretarial Standard all joint holders will consider as single for purpose of Quorum...
