I gave my CPT in June 2010 and have filled the registration form for IPCC..
My query is that even if i do not fill the Examination form for the May 2011 attempt which comes out in january..will this amount to an attempt and if i give the exam in november...will it be deemed a second attempt??

Provided that you have not filled ur examination form then it wont be considered as attempt.
what i am saying here is plz dnt count ur attempts study hard dnt go for any confusion.................this is ur first attempt no one in the world count ur attempts
