Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies the requirements for appearing in the first group of the SPOM exam. Participants only need to clear Set A to be eligible for the first group. Set B is generally for the second group. It's also advised to check the institute's current relaxations, as some may allow exam participation without passing SPOM.

Only set A. You should also check the relaxation of the institute whether it is mandatory to clear Set A to give the G1 /G2 exam because the institute has currently given relaxation that you can give the exam even without passing SPOM.

You only need to clear Set A for appearing in the 1st group. Set B is typically for the 2nd group. Focus on Set A to qualify.
