Query Regarding IT Exemptions to Donations made to Religious Trusts

Hi all,

Recently I made a donation to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (i.e., Sri Venkateshwara Sarva Sreyas Trust) which is eligible for deduction under U/S 80 G (5) (vi) of the Income Tax Act, 1961.But I have no clue whether it is eligible for a 100% donation (or) a 50% donation. So,could anyone of you please help me with this ?

Thanks,

Nitish

Quick Summary
This discussion explores the eligibility of donations made to religious trusts, specifically the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam, for IT deductions under Section 80G. The original poster is seeking clarification on whether their donation qualifies for a 100% or 50% deduction. Another user suggests that the donation might not be eligible if the trust's receipt doesn't include a PAN, and notes that 80G deductions are typically limited to 50% of taxable income or the donation amount, whichever is less.

I think the said donation is not eligible to claim deduction. Bcoz, I saw some receipts for the TTD donation. They are not give PAN in their receipts...

Is Your receipt have PAN...?!

Deduction will eligible u/s 80G with limit 50% of your 10% Taxable income or donation which ever is less.
