Just checked below notification released by ICAI according to which Final candidates required to scan and upload their certificate of service duly attested by principal..I completed my articlship in 2016, now doing job in another city..do I have to visit my principal CA to get this certificate of service attested or this is applicable only for those who are going through their articlship..

in your case, any ca can sign, as your articleship is over
but it has specifically mentioned word "'Principal"'
I am also facing the same problem. Really confusing
Just call at the regional centre and ask / helpline nos . in my opinion any ca can sign once articleship is over.

Ya actually the notification specifically mentions it but for practical reasons it seems strange. If someone calls at the helpline nos / confirms it with the institute in some other way pls post here too.
I guess the above requirement is only for those students who are under their last six months of service.

Exam forms are out from 6th Feb..
Whether certificate of service is for only new or old candidates also if someone completed service before 2010 still not cleared in final than what?
Same for me..my article ship completed in 2012,and living in another state,I have to go back to my articleship office State for getting signed by my principle.Some of my friends are now appering for exam from UAE, how can they get principal approval,Strange..
Guys i actually made a cold call to a helpline no. given on the site. First he told me yeah principals signature is required, then i told him that im in another city doing a job then what , to which he responded any cas would do. I asked him to any official clarification then he said wait till 6th.. So concluding even he wasn't sure on this so lets hope for some official clarification to come else individually you all can call / email and confirm the same , but would suggest wait till the 6th / 7th
BTW is any body having a problem logging in .I dont have a registered ID so i tried to register but the page doesnt change . tried FAQ on registeration but it mentioned a dropdown box for new registeration but i could not find the box . any kind of help is welcome please help
